“There is a duality to Greenville. While headlines speak truth to concerns involving our neighborhood. Greenville is vibrant, resilient and bursting with creativity,” says current GAC leader Melida Rodas. “In the first year, public art displays connected one point of the Greenville community to another, including Triangle Park to Saint Paul’s Church, past the Earl Morgan Library to our Pop-Up Art Gallery. We were bound by a matrix of art, poetry and music. Our solidarity as a neighborhood, in the first year, was a key element.”
The October 12 celebration at Three Thirds Cafe will be from 6 to 10 p.m., is free and open to the public, and will feature art, poetry, music, and complimentary refreshments.
In addition, Greenville Arts Crossroads will be hosting a kids event at Fruiti Fi (400 Claremont Ave.) on October 15th from 12 to 3 p.m. This event will have healthy snacks, story time, and caricatures.
