Melida interprets the Playbook by James Lapin as Projection Artist
Fairytales & Children’s Literature:
This project was important to Melida as a poet and writer for the following reasons:
As an advocate for young children’s literature this was special. The play revisits childhood fairy tales such as: Little Red Ridding Hood, Jack and the Bean Stalk and Cinderella.
It allowed her the opportunity to interpret the written work of Jame’s Lapine, in order to create animated films as backdrop for the production.
It's presented the opportunity to work along side talented Jersey City Students 5-12 Grade, aspiring play writers and actors.
It enabled her to invite Greenville students to attend this fairytale based production at no charge, together with City Kidz Playhouse.
