“The Re-Collective," literary group was founded by Melida with memoirists from NJCU and poets from Jersey City.

They met monthly to workshop their work and held numerous Open Mic Readings to showcase local talent and raise scholarship funds for English and Creative Writing  students.

Its members made significant contributions to the literary world and collaborated on anthologies, leaving enduring legacies.
